El Capitán de Carabineros Jorge González Osses se coronó campeón del concurso internacional de salto ecuestre “FEI World Challenge”. Esta competencia, organizada a nivel nacional por la Federación Ecuestre de Chile, se realizó el sábado 17 y domingo 18 de agosto, en el Santiago Paperchase Club de la Región Metropolitana, y, simultáneamente, en varios países del mundo.
El Capitán González junto al caballar Huimpalay se midió contra treinta binomios alcanzando el primer lugar el sábado y segundo en la jornada del domingo, lo que finalmente lo hizo acreedor del primer lugar del “FEI World Challenge”, categoría B.
En tanto, Aspirantes a Oficial obtuvieron el segundo lugar en las categorías damas y varones del Campeonato de la Confederación Deportiva de la Defensa Nacional (CODEFEN) de Básquetbol 2024. Esta instancia busca desarrollar una sana competencia entre las distintas ramas de las Fuerzas Armadas y de Orden. En este encuentro, sobresalieron los Aspirantes a Oficial Franco Avilés Miranda y Raquel Flores Hidalgo.
En paralelo, la Selección de Pentatlón Militar de la ESCAR tuvo una destacada actuación en el tradicional Campeonato CODEFEN, alcanzando el primer lugar por Equipo en la categoría Varones y tercero en Femenino, a lo que se suma excelentes resultados individuales.
Asimismo, la Rama de Equitación compitió en el Concurso de Salto Ecuestre Brisas de Chicureo, en la cual el Aspirante a Oficial Patricio de Azcorbebeitia, del Primer Escuadrón “Carlos Ibáñez”, empató el primer lugar. En tanto, la rama de Tenis participó en un Campeonato Interclub, realizado en el Club de Tenis Municipal de Santiago y salió victoriosa de este encuentro amistoso con la Academia Vida Tenis, jugando quince partidos con un registro de trece a su favor.
Finalmente, ESFOCAR fue sede de las competencias de fútbol y judo. En esta última disciplina obtuvieron el primer lugar la Carabinero (A) Anais Meneses, categoría +78 kilos y el Carabinero Alumno Juan Núñez en -100 kilos.
Estas actividades generan camaradería entre los estudiantes que se forman en las Escuelas Matrices de las Fuerzas Armadas y de Orden y Seguridad, con un fin común: estar al servicio del país.
