Destacados Logros en Equitación y Orientación Terrestre
En la Escuela de Equitación del Ejército, ubicada en Quillota, se realizó el concurso de salto organizado por la Federación Ecuestre de Chile y el Regimiento Escolta Presidencial Granaderos, en el cual el equipo de Carabineros tuvo una destacada participación. Sobresale el Teniente Coronel Luis Gómez Durán, segundo lugar prueba cobre 1,0 metros, junto al caballar Jahuel. En tanto, el Teniente Juan Canales Zenteno conquistó el tercer lugar en bronce 1,05 metros y la misma ubicación en bronce 1,10 metros montando a Tinquilco. Por su parte, el Capitán Jorge González Osses logró el tercer lugar en oro 1,25 metros junto a Huimpalay.
Paralelamente, los Aspirantes a Oficial brillaron en el Parque Metropolitano, obteniendo resultados destacados en diversas categorías del encuentro de Orientación Terrestre: Dupla Mixta 18-22 Años primer lugar Benjamín Plaza Gutiérrez (primer escuadrón) – Cristela García Amaya (primer escuadrón). Dupla Varones 23-28 años primer lugar: Alexis Cofré Pérez (cuarto escuadrón) – Gonzalo Zorondo Garrido (segundo escuadrón ext.).
